Year 6 French Trip
It certainly was an incredible week in France for the Year 6 children, and one they won’t soon forget!
Year 6 had a safe and peaceful crossing over to Saint Malo followed by a fantastic time at the grand aquarium, where they enjoyed all of its attractions! After that, they arrived safe and sound Chateau de Tertre! The Trip was filled with a variety of activities including canoeing, zip-wiring, obstacle courses and archery.
They took a trip to Flers Market buying lots of hats, jewelry and crepes however, the children were also asked to buy some local produce for their own lunch. In groups they had to wash and prepare the variety of food they purchased and present it to the staff for judging!
They also went on a visit to a local goat cheese farm, where the samples range of three day, three month, and six month old cheese, much to many children’s dismay, and others’ delight!
After a hearty lunch back at the Château, the children rounded out the afternoon with activities, including abseiling, archery and their final go on the obstacle course to tire them all out for their last evening in France!
A memorable campfire, filled with songs, games and marshmallows for their last evening before packing for the journey home.
